The Cleveland Browns stole all of the headlines on Friday afternoon by convincing Deshaun Watson to waive his no-trade clause and join the team.
Believe it or not, there were other Browns headlines on Friday.
The Saturday, March 19, 2022, edition of Browns Nation news and notes focuses on the other stories surrounding the team.
1. Bryan And Grant In The House
The Browns had their free agents at Berea on Friday to make everything official.
Taven Bryan, defensive tackle, and Jakeem Grant, wide receiver and special teams player, are now members of the Cleveland Browns.

2. Winovich Is Unrecognizable
Just when we thought Chase Winovich would assume the role of having the best hair (a vacant position since Jamie Gillan aka the “Scottish Hammer” was released), the newest Browns defensive end showed up in Berea with short hair.

What a surprise!
Regardless, the Browns are happy to have Winovich on board; he was acquired earlier in the week from the New England Patriots in the Mack Wilson trade.
3. McKinley Update
The Browns are keeping the lines of communication open with free-agent defensive end Takkarist McKinley.
His recovery from the Achilles injury is progressing well.
He is one to keep an eye on that could potentially re-sign with the team when he is closer to 100%.
Source: #Browns DE Takkarist McKinley is recovering “very well” and is in a good spot. Cleveland would love him back but McKinley will see what his market is once he is closer to being fully recovered.

Though the Browns have Garrett and Winovich, the team obviously needs more depth.
They are attempting to re-sign Jadeveon Clowney which would be a good start.
Best wishes to Takk as he continues to recover!
4. Mayfield’s Next Stop
Though quarterback Baker Mayfield is now officially finished in Cleveland, fans have a lot of gratitude for what he did for the team and the city during the past four years.
Most want to see him end up in a great situation with the possibility of leading a team on a postseason run as he did with the Browns in 2020.
I personally want to thank Baker Mayfield for his time in Cleveland. 2020 and the playoffs were the best time of my life and I wish you nothing but the best in your career #Browns #BakerMayfield pic.twitter.com/KmZXz8Uld2

As of now, the Indianapolis Colts and Seattle Seahawks are those most interested.
Per source, the #Seahawks are making a push to trade for #Browns QB Baker Mayfield. As others reported, #Colts also having discussions. This could heat up quickly.

Per source, at this point in time, the #Colts have been most aggressive in trade talks for #Browns’ Baker Mayfield. However, Cleveland doesn’t love the idea of trading him within the AFC.

Per Evan Massey, the Browns would prefer to send him to an NFC team.
We will see what happens here.
Happy Saturday Browns Fans!
