The Cleveland Browns were among the worst teams in the NFL during the 2024 season and are looking for an infusion of talent for the 2025 campaign.
They have only added a few athletes during free agency and via trade, hoping that the upcoming draft gives them what they’re looking for.
Several players have been selected in mock drafts for the Browns, but Travis Hunter’s name has come up a lot lately, a potential home run of a pick for the Browns.
Hunter was a dynamite wide receiver and defensive back in college, and if he can showcase that level of athleticism at the next level, there’s no telling what his ceiling could be in the NFL.
Analyst Terry Pluto mentioned as much in a recent article on Cleveland.com, believing that Hunter could be a true difference-maker for this organization.
“I just believe you put (Kevin) Stefanski together with Hunter and even sort of an average quarterback, I mean, you could, you could see some sizzle,” Pluto said, envisioning how Hunter could transform Cleveland’s offense alongside Jerry Jeudy and others.
Pluto is especially excited about the prospect of the Browns adding Hunter to their offense, even with an uncertain quarterback situation.
Sometimes, the best players find a way to elevate their quarterback, which is the mark of a strong receiver at the NFL level.
If the Browns don’t find what they’re looking for in free agency or the draft in a quarterback, they could at least take solace in the fact that they’d have Hunter running routes, giving them a strong chance at success with his athleticism and route-running.
