The Cleveland Browns recently added a veteran quarterback to their roster.
However, it wasn’t the one Bruce Drennan said the team is in trade talks to acquire.
Weeks ago, the renowned media figure claimed that a high-ranking source from the Browns told him that the team was in talks to trade for Dak Prescott.
The report was quickly dismissed by Cowboys insiders.
Even so, Drennan isn’t backing down from his report.
In the latest edition of his show, he stated that this trade could still happen.
“I’m not backing down from my prediction about this Prescott deal possibly going through,” Drennan said.
Bruce still believes in Dak Prescott to Cleveland!

He doesn’t think it’s a coincidence that the Cowboys traded for former New England Patriots QB Joe Milton III.
Drennan argued that everybody in the league agrees that Milton is an NFL-ready starter, so that should speak volumes about Prescott’s future with the organization.
Of course, it’s hard to dispute that notion.
Nevertheless, it’s hard to envision a scenario in which the Browns can realistically absorb Prescott’s contract.
Also, they already have two veteran quarterbacks on their roster, so trading for Prescott would most likely rule out the possibility of getting a cost-efficient and young quarterback to build around in the NFL Draft.
Maybe Prescott is on his way out of Dallas, and there’s a case to be made for the team to move on from him.
However, that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s going to be traded to Cleveland.
Barring a shocking turn of events, it’s hard to imagine Prescott being the Browns’ next quarterback after they also signed Joe Flacco and traded for Kenny Pickett.
